THE MISSION

Cyclis Bike Lease has been the pioneer of bicycle leasing in Belgium since 2014. Employees exchange part of their gross budget for a tax-efficient lease bicycle, as well as services such as maintenance, insurance and roadside assistance. Over 28,000 employees are now riding around on a Cyclis lease bicycle. The aim of Cyclis is to create as much (cycling) pleasure as possible for everyone.

5 YEARS, 5 EDITIONS

Five years ago, we wanted to ask all our cyclists to cycle to work together on one day. We soon came up with the idea of using this campaign to motivate all Flemish employees to cycle to work. No sooner said than done! #icycletowork grew into a national awareness campaign with more than 6,000 entities and companies participating each year. We saw almost 20,000 cyclists participate in 2022. And the number is increasing every year.

TAKE THE BIKE, FOR GOOD

The aim of the #icycletowork campaign is to convince as many employees as possible to think of the bicycle as a means of transport to work. Who knows, they may even get the cycling bug if they give it a try. And for those employees who already cycle to work, a full day has been dedicated to them. Very often, they convince their colleagues, friends and family to participate.

FOR A BETTER WORLD

We also collect money for charity every year with #icycletowork. All participants can donate a small amount when registering. We have built a long-term relationship with Habbekrats over the past three years. This non-profit organisation is committed to supporting vulnerable children and young people in Belgium. In recent years we have collected money for bicycles and a sports fort at the Avonturenhuis in the Ardennes, and for sports equipment in the new Habbekrats house in Brussels. This year, Habbekrats will use the money to organise summer camps.

A HEART FOR ANIMALS

Cyclis Bike Lease is very fond of animals. This year we are supporting a second charity: The Natuurhulpcentrum in Oudsbergen. This organisation takes care of injured native animals or confiscated/dumped exotic animals. The demand for places in shelter is increasing, making expansion vital. The amount collected will be used to support this.
