THE COMPANY BEHIND THE CAMPAIGN
Cyclis Bike Lease is the company that created #icycletowork five years ago. Letting as many employees as possible cycle o work and letting them have a bit of fun in the process is what the campaign is all about every year.
Since 2014, Cyclis has made it possible to lease a tax-efficient bicycle through your work in exchange for a part of your gross budget. Comprehensive insurance, maintenance, and breakdown cover are included. In the meantime, over 28,000 employees are riding around on a Cyclis lease bicycle. Could this be something for your company? 5 YEARS, 5 EDITIONS
The first #icycletowork took place in 2019. Since then, the fifth edition has already been completed and we see the number of participants rise noticeably every year. ‘I Cycle To Work’ has grown into a national awareness campaign, good for around 20,000 cyclists in 2023. Those who are looking forward to the sixth edition can already note Thursday, 25 April 2024, in their agenda.
TAKE THE BIKE, FOR GOOD
The bicycle is becoming increasingly established as a way of commuting, and of course, we can only encourage that. We use the #icycletowork campaign to convince as many people to ride their bike to work as possible. Novices can discover the joy of cycling to work, while experienced colleagues who cycle to work more often are also especially honoured on this one day. So 27 April was a fun day for everyone!
CYCLING FOR CHARITY
In addition to the positive results for your own health and the environment, we also cycled for something else on 27 April. Our two charities, Habbekrats vzw and Natuurhulpcentrum, together received an amount of 22.609 euros and, as such, can finance part of their planned activities. The young people of Habbekrats vzw are going to have a nice summer because they’re using their share to take part in organised holiday camps. The Natuurhulpcentrum will be able to use the money to help pay for their expansion plans, so that every injured animal can count on the necessary space and care. We want to thank all the participants for their donations!
